Our Upcoming Concert Sunday 7th April

Our first QMO concert for 2019 is coming up next Sunday at 2pm (7th April) at St Peter's Lutheran College Performing Arts Centre. 'Bach to Brunnhilde' will feature both Queensland Medical Orchestra and Choir, presenting an afternoon of Germanic music spanning the centuries.. The program will include Wagner's 'Ride of the Valkyries', Bach's 'Brandenburg Concerto', Orf's 'Carmina Burana', Mozart's 'Marriage of Figaro Overture' and much much more. Don't miss this fantastic event, celebrating some of history's most amazing composers. Tickets are available online and at the door on the day. Proceeds will go to MND and Me, a charity that supports motor neuron disease suferers and their families in the community.

Time to Join QMO Friends 2019

QMO Friends 2019 is now open for subscription.

This is our season subscription for the year, with reserved premium tickets to all our main concerts, with discounted tickets for our Spring Soiree chamber music event. Membership are $250 for couples and $130 for singles. QMO in 2019

We have a big year coming up for QMO in 2019. 

2018 was a fantastic success for us with over $40,000 raised for charities, including Mummy's Wish, Cure for Brain Cancer Foundation, Foundation for Angelman Syndrome Therapeutics and Starlight Foundation. We would not have done it without hte support of our sponsors, QMO Friends and all of our audience. 

2019 will be no different. In store for you is our first concert, Bach to Brunhilde, on Sunday 7th April. Buy Your Tickets to Carols & Cures

There are less than 200 tickets left for our Christmas event Carols & Cures.This concert will be filled with festive Christmas music and require audience participation for some carol singing. Funds raised from this concert will be going to Cure Brain Cancer Foundation and the Ashintosh Foundation. Upcoming Event: Spring Soiree 2018

Don't miss out on our Spring Soiree this year.

This is our annual chamber music event featuring both hidden and well-known talents within the Queensland Medical Orchestra and Choir. This year, we have an exciting program in store for you, including Mendelssohn's Piano Trio in D minor, the famous Trout Quintet by Franz Schubert, a flute duet performing excerpts from some of Mozart's most well-known operas, as well as the lyrical Flower Duet from Lakmé by Delibe, plus much more. The intimate musical afternoon will feature star performers including: Dr Michael Lam and Dr Julia Finch on cello, Professor Leonie Callaway, Dr Ryan Wiliams, Dr Jee Young and Professor Emma Duncan on piano, Dr Lily Vrtik & Dr Zhenya Welcyzko on flute, our concertmaster Dr Eleanor Robinson on violin, Dr Geoffrey Wu on clarinet, Dr Carl Bryant on Bassoon and Dr Cara Odenthal, our magical soprano, just to mention a few.

The concert will be held in the Ian Hanger Recital Hall, in the Griffith University Conservatorium on South Bank. Starting at 2pm on Sunday 28th October. This will be an afternoon filled with an amazing variety of chamber music, with a great line-up of performers. All proceeds from this concert will go to FAST (Foundation for Angelman Syndrome Therapeutics), supporting families and children affected by this genetic disorder.
