Launch of our 2017 Season

Posted on 30 December 2016

Our 2017 Season will showcase some exciting productions, including a collaborative event in April with Queensland Ballet and their academy dancers, as well as their music director, Nigel Gaynor. Maestro Gaynor was our guest conductor in the 'Best of British' concert in 2016, which raised over $5000 for Prince Charles Hospital Foundation in heart disease research. He will again take us through some spectacular music from well-known ballets, in conjunction with live dancers from Queensland Ballet Academy performers. The concert will be all about music associated with dance, with guest artists in tap dancing, Flamenco, and much more. This is going to be a spectacular show that is sure to entertain our fans of all ages. 'Care to Dance' will raise funds for Palliative Care, an integral part of cancer care. Do you care enough to 'dance' with us?

Our annual Virtuosis concert in July will again showcase amazing soloists within our QMO Family of musicians. In store will also be choral works performed by our choir.

Finally, Christmas Miracles will be our Christmas event, which will be held in a bigger venue to accommodate our increasing fan base! Carol singing and Christmas cheer will again be essential, brought to you by both the QMO and QMC.
